Have you seen Neebs Gaming's Elden Ring series on YouTube? It's hands down the best way to experience the magic of Elden Ring without actually playing it yourself.
I'll admit, I was skeptical at first about watching someone else play a huge open world game like this - I thought it would be boring or frustrating not being the one with the controller. But Neebs and the crew have a way of pulling you into the world and making you feel like you're right there with them on their epic quest.
The cinematic camera work makes it feel just like a movie or TV show, and their hilarious running commentary and reactions to everything make it so entertaining. One minute you're laughing at Simon's screams of terror as he gets mauled by a giant bear, the next you're on the edge of your seat as Thick battles a brutal boss.
And you can really tell how much passion and appreciation the Neebs gang has for the game. They take their time to soak in the atmosphere, explore every nook and cranny, and geek out over the tiniest lore details. It's like going on an adventure with your funniest friends.
I never would have appreciated how gorgeous the environments are, how cleverly the dungeons are designed, or how rich and complex the storytelling is without Neebs Gaming's playthrough. They even inspired me to go back and play some of the previous Souls games myself!
So if you're interested in Elden Ring but don't have the time or skill to play it yourself, do yourself a favor and watch Neebs bring the Lands Between to life. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cheer when the final boss goes down. And you'll see why this ambitious game is an all-time great.
