The Game
You definitely should check it out
Neebs Gaming has done it again with their latest hilarious Minecraft video! I always get excited when I see a new Minecraft episode pop up in my subscriptions feed from these guys. Their cinematic approach to gameplay commentary is second to none.
The video starts off with an ominous vibe as the crew discovers all the villagers have mysteriously vanished from Pantsylvania. I love how they set up little storylines like this to drive the action and add drama to the gameplay. It really sucks you into their Minecraft world.
Then we get to go on an adventure with Anthony as he boldly leads an expedition into the dark caves in search of slime. Anthony's scaredy-cat personality always cracks me up, he's such a contradiction being a big strong guy who shrieks at the slightest creepy noise in the caves. The editing is great here with the way they cut back and forth between Anthony's tense mission and the other guys back at the base.
And Simon's aquarium project is a great lighthearted B-plot, his frustrated efforts to get squids into the tank are so relatable and funny. The guys' personalities are so complementary, and they play off each other perfectly in moments like this.
Overall this is such an entertaining blend of gameplay, humor, and storytelling. Neebs Gaming finds a way to showcase the best elements of Minecraft through their cinematic approach. Their videos are the next best thing to playing Minecraft yourself. I always laugh out loud multiple times whenever I watch one of their episodes.
