Wow, I just watched the latest Battlefield Friends video from Neebs Gaming and it was hilarious! This episode features the fan favorite character Girl Gamer as she tries to play Battlefield 3 online. Right from the start her experience is filled with the usual sexist comments from male gamers, but she handles it with confidence and sass.
The writing and voice acting is so on point, bringing these characters to life. I was cracking up at the absurd yet totally realistic exchanges between Girl Gamer and the other characters like Recon and Support. The jokes walk the line perfectly between offensive and satirical.
And the cinematography! For a machinima-style video made in a game engine, it looks incredibly cinematic. The camera angles, editing, and added visual effects make it feel like you're watching a fully animated show. The battle scenes are intense and epic.
Overall, Neebs Gaming is making some of the most entertaining gaming-related content out there. Their Battlefield Friends series captures the culture and comedy around FPS games better than anything else. And their unique style of long-form narrative videos provides a gaming experience that's engaging to watch even if you don't play yourself.
