Man, I just love watching the Battlefield Friends videos from Neebs Gaming. They are so hilarious and perfectly capture the essence of playing Battlefield games online.
The latest episode, Finding A Server, is an absolute gem. It starts out with the squad waiting endlessly in the server browser, trying to find a good Conquest match to join. We've all been there before - scrolling through pages and pages of servers trying to find the perfect one. Neebs and the gang nail the frustration of this experience.
When they finally join a server, it's completely empty! Cue the tumbleweeds rolling by. The confused and disappointed reactions from the Battlefield Friends are priceless. Then all of a sudden the server starts filling up as the round begins. I was cracking up as more and more characters slowly popped into existence around them. The comedic timing is just perfect.
This short video is only a few minutes long but it encapsulates so many of the things Battlefield players encounter regularly. From waiting in lobbies to lopsided teams to squads that don't communicate, Neebs Gaming takes these common issues and turns them into hilarious sketches.
And the Battlefield Friends series goes far beyond just comedy. It also tells an ongoing story with engaging characters that you grow attached to. The bond between the four squad mates is so endearing. You really feel like you are along for the ride with them as they work together and react to the madness unfolding on the battlefield.
For me, watching these Battlefield Friends episodes on the Neebs Gaming channel is the next best thing to actually playing Battlefield myself. Their cinematic style pulls you right into the action and their sharp comedy writing perfectly skewers the Battlefield experience.
So if you love Battlefield but need a break from the grind of multiplayer, I can't recommend the Battlefield Friends series enough. Sit back, laugh your ass off, and enjoy the brilliant comedic minds of Neebs Gaming bringing the Battlefield world to life in the most entertaining way possible. This is Battlefield satire at its very best!
