Wow, I just watched the latest Battlefield Friends video from Neebs Gaming and it was hilarious! This episode is called "Boosting" and pokes fun at players who boost their stats in online games.
The video opens with the Battlefield Friends crew sitting around chatting about their stats and realizing Colonel has really high scores. He claims it's from "skill" but they soon figure out he's been boosting with his other account. The Colonel is so desperate to have the best stats that he'll go to any length, even cheating!
What I love about these videos is the banter between the characters. You've got Recon, the laidback sniper just happy to be playing. Irish is the aggressive driver who loves smashing into things. Noob is, well a total noob who provides comic relief. And the Colonel is the wanna-be pro gamer who takes it all way too seriously. Their personalities bounce off each other so well.
The animated style is also fantastic. It reminds me of old-school cartoons with its simple but expressive character designs. And the jokes come fast, spoofing things like quickscoping, camping, and of course boosting. As a Battlefield player myself, I appreciate all the insider references.
But you don't need to be a hardcore fan to enjoy these videos. The comedy is just so on point. Neebs Gaming clearly has a deep love and knowledge of Battlefield that comes across in their skits. They perfectly parody the culture of online shooters.
So if you want a good laugh and a bit of Battlefield satire, you can't go wrong with the Battlefield Friends series. Honestly, watching these videos is the next best thing to playing Battlefield yourself. Except you don't have to worry about getting destroyed by Colonel's boosted stats! I hope Neebs keeps pumping out this amazing cinematic content for a long time to come.
